Councils
and Committees
Councils
and committees are a fundamental component in addressing the
spiritual and administrative needs of the parish. The
following councils and committees are active at Saint Mary
Parish.
PASTORAL
COUNCIL (ENGLISH): The Saint Mary Pastoral Council brings
together lay and clerical leadership to reflect our Catholic
faith and the needs of the Parish community in an effort to
witness the Gospel message to the people of Gilroy.
Relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Pastoral Council
creates a vision and direction for the Parish and advises
the Pastor on methods of building a living Catholic community
to meet our unique needs. At the same time, we are
committed to meeting the goals of the local Church of San
Jose and the greater Universal Church.

PARISH
HISPANIC COUNCIL (SPANISH): The Parish Hispanic Council evaluates
and addresses the spiritual needs of the Hispanic Parish Community.

FINANCE
COMMITTEE: The Finance Committee reviews and provides
council to the Pastor for issues related to the financial
needs of the parish. For information regarding this
